Woman arrested after stealing cat food, cleaning supplies

200 block of Hedges Street – A 19-year-old woman was arrested and taken to jail where she was issued summonses on charges of drunkenness, criminal damaging, offenses involving underage persons and aggravated menacing. A neighbor asked her and her boyfriend to be quiet and said the arguing was keeping her kids up all night and the suspect went next door and got a knife and then she brandished the knife and told the neighbor to mind her own business. The neighbor said she grabbed a piece of wood to defend herself but did not have a gun or break a window. 

300 block of Springmill Street – Contact was made with a grandmother about the well being of two grandchildren whom she babysits. The kids seemed to be in good health and the residence had running water and the fridge was stocked with food however the residence was in deplorable condition. A copy of this report was forwarded to Richland County Children Services.
