La Colombe d’Or Hotel in Montrose announced last week that, as part of its renovations, it will introduce a new restaurant in late winter.
Tonight & Tomorrow, led by executive chef Jonathan Wicks, will offer a chef-driven, locally sourced menu of dishes like stuffed quail with boudin, gravlax carpaccio, and a big burger. The restaurant also promises craft cocktails, international wines, and both indoor and outdoor seating.
Along with Tonight & Tomorrow, the hotel will open The Bar, which will serve craft cocktails and small plates. Both concepts will serve guests of the hotel, plus folks living in La Colombe d’Or’s apartments, along with the general public.

Fat Cat will celebrate a grand opening November 14 by passing out complimentary canned craft cocktails from Daiquiri Time Out.
Women’s health and advocacy nonprofit I’ll Have What She’s Having is hosting “Ooh-la-la! Happy Hour” from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday with chef Dawn Burrell and bar professional Sarah Troxell. The Zoom event will show viewers how to make hors d’oeuvres and zero-proof cocktails. Sign up, and you’ll get all the ingredients necessary to serve up to four people. After the demonstration, noted French-born and Bay Area-based chef Dominique Crenn will join the call for a question-and-answer session. Proceeds go toward IHWSH’s efforts to offer free mammograms for women working in Houston’s hospitality industry. For tickets, click here.
